Nancy Abramson

Nancy Abramson is a notable American cantor who has made significant contributions to the field of music, particularly in the context of Conservative Judaism. Her distinguished career has included serving as cantor at several prominent synagogues, including Park Avenue Synagogue, where she spent fourteen years, West End Synagogue in Manhattan for twelve years, and Congregation Sons of Israel in Briarcliff Manor, New York for five years.

Abramson has also held leadership positions in various organizations, most notably as the first female president of the Cantors Assembly, a role she assumed in 2013. Additionally, she is a member of the Women Cantors Network and has been involved in education, becoming the Director of the H. L. Miller Cantorial School at the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2011.
