Elie Abadie is a prominent figure in the Jewish community, serving as Senior Rabbi of the Association of Gulf Jewish Communities and Senior Rabbi in Residence of the Jewish Community Center of the United Arab Emirates (JCE). His expertise lies in Sephardic Judaism, with a particular focus on history, philosophy, and comparative traditional law. This specialization is reflected in his former role as Director of the Jacob E. Safra Institute of Sephardic Studies at Yeshiva University.

Rabbi Abadie's involvement in various organizations underscores his commitment to the Jewish community. He holds positions on the boards of the American Sephardi Federation and the World Sephardic Educational Center, and serves as co-president of Justice for Jews from Arab Countries.
